Some couples have that kind of love that just feels effortless. The kind that makes you smile from behind the lens without even realizing it. Mercedes and Logan are that kind of couple.
They made the trek all the way from Rocky Mountain House to the heart of Kananaskis for their session—and wow, was it ever worth it. The rolling foothills, distant peaks, and golden light gave us the dreamiest backdrop. But what really made this session shine? The way they looked at each other. The laughter. The quiet in-between moments. The way they felt like home in each other’s arms.
One of my favourite things about this session is that it was just because. No engagement. No big event. Just two people who love each other, showing up to celebrate that love in a really intentional way. Because you don’t need a ring or a milestone to have photos that capture your connection. Sometimes love itself is the occasion—and that’s exactly what Mercedes and Logan reminded me.
They brought the perfect energy: down-to-earth, playful, and so deeply connected. Whether they were cozying up on a picnic blanket with the mountains behind them or holding hands in the meadow, they were completely in sync. Their session was soft and joyful, romantic and real—and the kind of shoot that makes me fall in love with photography all over again.
To Mercedes and Logan—thank you for letting me be a small part of your story. Your love is adventurous, grounded, and full of light. I’m so glad you made the trip and gave yourselves the gift of this moment in time.
